Calling all sangria lovers because Dec. 20, is National Sangria Day, a foodie holiday recognizing the refreshing combination of fresh fruit and wine. Enjoy a lazy afternoon at celebrated chef José Andrés’ Disney Springs restaurant which serves a premier selection of sangrias, Spanish wines, and savory tapas during its daily Sangria Hour. From 4 to 6 p.m. at the Matador Bar, guests can indulge in popular items like Patatas Bravas, fried potatoes with spicy tomato sauce and aioli, or Croquetas de Pollo, traditional Chicken Fritters, plus a fruity and spiced Frozen Sangria.

Until Dec. 30, Pepe by José Andrés will offer half-price frozen or regular sangrias with the purchase of any Spanish-style sandwich on the menu. Perfect for on-the-go dining, Pepe by José Andrés is known for its Spanish food truck fare from international culinary innovator José Andrés. Guests can indulge in an extensive menu of hot and cold Spanish-style sandwiches like bocatas and bikinis, plus salads, soups, sides and desserts. This bold, fruity red wine sangria is made with Jaleo’s recipe of spiced wine, gin, brandy, and citrus. This is a simple, yet delicious recipe that’s perfect for dinner parties or for days of leisure. Sangría de Lujo Tinto
A bold, fruity red wine sangría with our recipe of spiced wine, gin, brandy, citrus
Glassware:
- 2+ Rocks Glasses
- 1 50 oz pitcher
Garnishes:
- 8 lemon wheels
- 8 mint sprigs
- 8 orange peels
- 4 raspberries for summer or Granny Smith apple slices for the winter
Ingredients:
- 1 of your favorite bottles of Red wine
- 16 oz Sangría base (Recipe on back)
- 10 oz soda water
Directions:
- Combine the Sangria Base and the soda water in an empty pitcher
- Fill the individual glasses with cubed ice
In the Pitcher:
- Make sure to express the orange peels and gently smack the mint sprigs before adding them in
- Add 4 lemon wheels, 4 orange peels, 4 mint sprigs and 4 raspberries into the pitcher
- Last, open the bottle of wine and pour it into the pitcher
In Each Individual Glass:
- Put a lemon wheel, by the side, half of it over the surface
- Smack a mint sprig and put it on top, as flourishing from the drink, next to the lemon wheel
- Express an orange peel over the drink and place it on top, along with a raspberry
