Coming Soon To Hallmark Channel Is Season 2 Of ‘The Way Home’. The hit show for the Hallmark Channel is set to return on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 9/8C.
Del, Kat, and Alice return for a second season. Will Kat and Elliot patch things up? Will Jacob get home and reunite with his Mom and sister? So many things we left unanswered. Hopefully, ‘The Way Home’ season 2 will answer all those questions.

The Way Home tells the story of three generations of women – Kat Landry, her teen Alice, and Kat’s mother Del – who are all strong, willful, and independent. More than 20 years prior, life-changing events prompted Kat to move away from her small, Canadian farm town and she remains estranged from Del to this day. At a crossroads in her life, Kat moves back with Alice to her family’s farm though the reunion isn’t what Kat envisioned.
When Alice and Kat unwittingly discover the ability to travel between the past and present, mother and daughter are determined to unearth the truth about the earlier tragedies as they try to change the course of events. Kat’s childhood friend Elliot is there for them in both eras as they navigate their journeys across time, helping the three women find their way back to each other.
Looking back at Season 1, we were introduced to the estranged Mother Del, and her daughter Kat. Kat is newly divorced and takes her daughter Alice to stay with Del. Kat and Del have a very tense relationship that wraps around the disappearance of her brother, Jacob, and the death of her father and Del’s husband, Colton. Alice is not happy about being moved there and dealing with her family drama until she discovers the pond.
The pond, Alice discovers, is capable of time travel. When Alice goes in she finds herself coming out in the late 1990s/early 2000s. She finds herself at her family home and befriends her mother, who is her age. She gets to meet her uncle Jacob and grandfather. She finds out that her teacher, Elliot, knows about this as she knew him in the past as Kat’s friend Alice. In the present, he knows she’s Kat’s daughter.
There are complicated family and friendships that each member deals with. Kat eventually finds out what Alice is doing and goes to the past to try to save her father Colton and brother Jacob. All the time travel and trying to figure it all out fractures some relationships and heals others.
Season one left so many unanswered questions. Will we get resolutions? When will the pond take them next? ‘The Way Home’ stars Andie MacDowell, Chyler Leigh, Evan Williams, and Sadie Laflamme-Snow as Del, Kat, Elliot, and Alice.
