Broadway Superstar Michael James Scott will Grand Marshall “Festival of Fantasy Parade” on February 6th, 2024. Celebrate the spirit of Disney as Magic Kingdom Park comes alive with music and dance during a tribute to the tales of Fantasyland. This time at the head of the parade will be Disney’s Broadway Actor Michael James Scott who plays Genie in Aladdin.
Through the talents of our wonderful cast members and collaborations with a myriad of Black-owned businesses, you can “Celebrate Soulfully” across the resort throughout the year, but especially during Black History Month. Let’s explore some ways to honor Black culture, heritage, and contributions at Walt Disney World Resort this February:
Broadway performer and Orlando native Michael James Scott, well known for his portrayal of Genie in the hit Broadway musical, “Aladdin,” will be the honorary grand marshal for the “Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade” at Magic Kingdom Park on Feb. 6. His appearance helps kick off our month-long celebration of Black heritage and culture. You can catch Michael James Scott along the parade route down Main Street, U.S.A., around 3 p.m. ET.

We have seen various Grand Marshalls of the Festival of Fantasy parade over the years, from randomly chosen local families to superstars like ‘The Little Mermaid’ herself Halle Bailey.
Coming Feb 6th is Broadway superstar Michael James Scott who can also be seen at Epcot’s Festival of the Arts with Mandy Gonzalez for the DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series on February 9, 11, 12, 15, 18, and 19.
He was recently seen on Main Street USA during the Holidays performing ‘Friend Like Me’ from Disney’s Aladdin. Michael James Scott (Genie), Adi Roy (Aladdin), and the Broadway and North American touring companies of ALADDIN perform the showstopping number “Friend Like Me” during ABC’s Disney Christmas Celebration at Walt Disney World Resort.
