Beautiful Day at the Magic Kingdom 1/31/2024 – Kingdom Hearts Pins, HOME Collection, Restrooms Open and Closed. The Florida weather has been rather volatile the last few weeks, temps up to 85 then dropping down to 40, it’s sunny, and it’s raining. Mother Nature has no clue what to do. We are supposed to be in our dry season here!
Then you have these perfect days here, like yesterday. 72 degrees, that beautiful bright blue sky, which makes for some amazing photos, and light crowds. This made for a fun morning and early afternoon at the Park.
We had friends in town visiting from Canada, so we spent the morning bouncing around the parks, like someone who reads ride times, and decided “Oh Big Thunder is at 25, let us go!” but we are in Tomorrowland! So, it was a lot of walking. Side Note: I do not recommend doing the parks that way, but we can’t sit around acting like we are know-it-alls, so we went along with it.
So, what is going on at Disney’s Magic Kingdom? Let’s go through some of the new stuff we saw at shops, and check in with a few attractions:
Country Bears were walking around in front of the attraction while it is being refurbished into the new Country Bear Musical Jamboree. New signs are posted in front of the attraction. “Bear with us we’re rehearsing a brand new show” Signs are posted all around the front.
While the Country Bear Musical Jamboree will include easter eggs from the beginning to the end including a familiar tune fans may remember, the bears will sing new, reinterpreted Disney tunes in different genres of country music – like bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, rockabilly, and other styles.
Frontierland Restrooms have reopened next to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and closed in Fantasyland. You can read more about these in our newest article.
While walking around Fantasyland, we got to run into the Step-Sisters, Anastasia and Drizella. They are such a fun meet and greet, if you can get them to stop. They show love to the little ones, but you best believe if you aren’t a child, you may see the sarcastic side of them. Their quick wit and hilarity make them so much fun.
We got to ride, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Pirates, Walt Disney World Train, Tron, People Mover, and finally Tomorrowland Speedway, all before 11:30 AM. We headed back to Main Street USA to get our picture in front of the castle and check out all the new merchandise.
Kingdom Hearts fans should be very happy because we never see a lot of merchandise inside the parks. In fact, while Disneyland gets characters, we get nothing! So seeing two new pins come to the Magic Kingdom is awesome.

I do not ever remember seeing Annual Passholder Arribus Bros. glasses for sale previously, but when we checked they had come out last October. $14.99 each. There is a wine glass, a rocks glass, and a medium-sized glass.
Sleeping Beauty just celebrated its 65th Anniversary, and there is new Dooney & Bourke bags at Uptown Jewelers.
