New Tiana’s Famous Beignets at the Magic Kingdom Soulfully 2024

New Tiana’s Famous Beignets at the Magic Kingdom Soulfully 2024. February is Black History Month and to celebrate, the culinary teams at Disney Parks are bringing on the flavor with delicious eats and sips honoring Black heritage and culture. What better than to celebrate with Princess Tiana and her famous beignets. Available for the first time at Disney’s Magic Kingdom.

Golden Oak Outpost (Available Feb. 1 through 29) $6.99 Tiana’s Famous Beignets: Light, sweet, and fluffy beignets with strawberry dipping sauce.

We know how much people enjoy beignets at Port Orleans French Quarter. We have seen people take the water taxi from the springs for a quick bite at Scat Cat’s. Heck, we have been lucky enough for the resort to let us park and run in real fats and grab a couple of Mickey Shaped Beignets. A little bit of warm salted caramel, or the choccy sauce. Delicious.

Now we got to try the Famous Tiana Beignets at the Golden Outpost in the Magic Kingdom. Which, for those who may be running over to try them, the hours are 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Which we did not realize, so we waited for a little while.

Was the wait worth it? In a word, YES! I really liked these beignets. They were smaller than the Mickey-shaped ones, which in my opinion was great because it had more of the crust per square inch. The flavor was excellent, and the center was soft and chewy.

This leads to our only issue with these Famous beignets, they could have used more sugar. it felt like only the top of ours was coated and not the whole piece. Plus they only serve it with a cold strawberry sauce, which apparently is good and works well with them. No Choccy, or caramel sauces.

So, would we recommend them? Absolutely. Eating them while the construction continues on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in front of us was a cool experience. We only hope they bring them to Magic Kingdom full-time when the attraction opens later this year.
