Park Review Epcot Update for 2/10/2024: Walls Down, Rose Walkway Open, Flower & Garden Topiaries Arriving, New Kelce/Swift Coat of Arms. What a great day to visit Epcot. The smell of newly blooming flowers was in the air, crowds were low in the morning (before the Cheeleders and Chaperones descended on the park), and more Walls have come down!

Walls, Walls, and more lembas bread! This time we have some good news. More walls have been removed and the Rose Walkway has been reopened to guests. Clearing up a huge traffic jam of people at the entrance to the World Showcase Bridge from World Celebration.

We had recently written about how the whole area made a huge bottleneck, and are happy to see that the area is being worked on for now. There is also some new temporary signage in the central garden area of the bridge, which will soon be covered with topiaries.

CommuniCore Hall and Plaza updates: More of the panels have been installed. The panels have the color on the backside which will reflect a rainbow pattern when it is lit up. We also see more of the inside walls have been finished. The outside areas closer to the festival space have been covered and are ready for the outside walls to be finished.

At Walt Disney World Resort, CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza will be completed in 2024 as part of the multiyear transformation of EPCOT. These new spaces extend the EPCOT festivals beyond World Showcase and provide a new home for additional exhibits and entertainment, offering the perfect space to gather with family and friends. To go back a few paragraphs and finish up the Walls conversation, the walls in the UK Pavilion are coming down around the restroom area. Furthermore, the scaffolding that was put up in the Garden area is coming down also. Repainted and some touch-ups really help make the colors pop out.

The UK restrooms look like they are finished and only have a hedge wall in front of them now. I would imagine it should be reopened after a years-long refurbishment any day now.

While visiting the UK Pavilion yesterday we stopped at The Crown and Crest. Get a UK crest on a mug or your family coat of arms on a plaque. Shop Beatles bric-a-brac, Rose & Crown merchandise, and more.

I will let the image speak for itself. If I said anything it would just be snarky, like, “they aren’t married”, or I would say something like “Is everyone trying to make a buck off these two?” but I won’t! I will keep my mouth shut. lol

You can find the Kelce/Swift Crest hanging up inside the shop.

Speaking of how beautiful of a day it was at Epcot – Spring was in the air yesterday with the addition of the first topiaries and some gardens. Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival starts on February 28th, 2024. With how cold and overcast the weather has been recently here in central Florida, this festival is needed. I cannot think of a more perfect time to visit the parks.

Check out the article released yesterday from Disney Parks Blog about the Tiana Topiary.

Topiary Magic Awaits

Discover spectacular topiaries of beloved animals and Disney characters, cultivated with care by Disney horticulturists.

Here are this year’s displays and where you can find them:

  • Butterfly and Flower Towers
    World Showcase – International Gateway

We did find a few new merchandise things for sale, including the new 2024 graduation caps and ears. Along with a new Pin Board.

Also, we did get to Disney’s Boardwalk yesterday and found that construction has been completed on the Friendship Boat Dock. We will be updating everyone on Cake Bake Shop and Blue Ribbon Corn Dog Stand later, but for now, that’s all.

Finally, here is a bird. For no reason. I just take images of birds when I am at the Park. Does that make us weird or crazy? maybe, yes!
