Our Look Back as Epcot’s Festival of the Arts Closes for 2024. We Look Back at Our Favorites from Epcot’s Festival of the Arts 2024. Just like it began, so it will end with rain in the forecast and overcast skies. That doesn’t mean in the middle there weren’t some amazing things we wrote about and got to see this year.

We hope you had as much fun as we did at this year’s Epcot International Festival of the Arts. Figment Popcorn Bucket definitely stole the show, with Disney doing the Mobile ordering, and having enough product, they were able to fix any issue they may have had in past years with long lines, and selling out.

The Popcorn Bucket was a replica of the Imagination Pavilion, glass top and all. The Figment of our imagination is seen in the middle of the pyramid-like structure. When we picked ours up, we found out it actually lit up in a rainbow of colors. Overall we were super happy with this year’s release.

Speaking of lit things this year, 2024 Space Ship Earth Beacon of Magic had two returning classic Icon shows returned for Epcot’s Festival of the Arts 2024. One you have to watch from the newly reopened World Celebration, and the other can be viewed from your favorite spot.

Starting at twilight, which was 5:50 PM, Spaceship Earth is lighting up the Disney sky. ‘One Little Spark’ the original version, and The Muppets’ classic ‘Rainbow Connection’

Previously we have seen both of these shows in the past years. Moreover, it is the first time they have played two different versions of the Festival of the Arts shows. ‘One Little Spark’ premiered in 2022, and ‘Rainbow Connection’ premiered in 2023.

What is an Arts Festival without Art? Our favorite story and the one we probably spent the most amount of energy on was “4 Imagineers Paint Spaceship Earth’ Deep Roots in Disney Animation History

In the 1958 featurette 4 Artists Paint 1 Tree, Disney Artists use varying techniques and methods to depict a single oak tee. With results as different as the creators themselves, the final paintings showcase each artist’s one-of-a-kind approach and point of view.

In the spirit of this classic film, four current Walt Disney Imagineers have used their diverse artistic talents to paint Spaceship Earth, each telling the story of this beloved attraction as only they can.

Other Art articles we got to write about this year included “New and Returning Artful Photo Ops for Epcot for Festival of the Arts 2024“.

New Disney Character Chalk Art Around Epcot for Festival of the Arts. We got lucky yesterday while visiting Epcot and got to see a ton of this new Chalk Art. We took some images and were gonna write about it, especially when we saw “The Great Mouse Detective” Chalk Art in the UK Pavilion.

Let’s not forget, that we are NOT artists here at TheFUNaticsBlog! Drawing Figment at Animation Academy During Festival of the Arts 2024, and I suck at drawing is what we learned. In fact, it was so bad I couldn’t even share it during the article.

Figment's Special Gift For You from Epcot's Festival of the Arts 2024

Food is always fantastic at Epcot’s Festival of the Arts and 2024 was no different. From visually appealing food, to just great tasting food.

The Craftsman’s Courtyard at Festival of the Arts 2024. We have written about Figment, chalk, and the visual arts. Now we can start writing about the other aspect of Epcot’s Festival of the Arts, and that is the art of food. We started our food arts exploration at The Craftsman’s Corner.

One of the articles we are proud of here was spending to time to give everyone an update on Guide to the Menu Options for Special Dietary Requests at Epcot Festival of the Arts 2024. Today, January 12th, 2024, was the opening day of the Festival of the Arts 2024. There are a lot of new menu items and some returning classics. We get a few requests every year asking if there are options for Special Dietary Requests, and we have answers this year.

We did, I think, 28 different Articles this year for F’Arts! Overall we had a blast, from going over on opening day and seeing all our friends, to seeing a lot of readers enjoying their time at Epcot. I believe not only was Festival of the Arts a hit for Disney, but it was great for us. We really enjoyed 2024.

Now it is officially time to think warm thoughts and start thinking of Spring! Epcot’s International Flower & Garden starts in just about 10 days and we are chomping at the bit to explore a refreshed Epcot.
