The Fan Fest Society Set To Hold Gilmore Girls Fan Event In October 2024 and You Don’t Want To Miss It. Where you lead, we will follow. If you are a Gilmore Girls fan, then this is the event you do not want to miss.
October 18-20, 2024 in Guilford, CT, there will be the annual gathering for Gilmore Girls fans called, “The Firelight Event.” This is a three-day gathering for fans to gather and celebrate all things Stars Hollow and Gilmore.

If you know me, you know that I’m a die-hard Gilmore Girls fan. Yes, I have a daughter named Rory. I’m Team Jess. I know that life is short so talk fast. I can talk about my love for this show to anyone and everyone. Yes, I have merch, the podcast downloaded, and I watch it routinely. I’m that girl.
“The Firelight Event” is priced at $395 for the three days. The event includes 40+ events such as meet & greets, giveaways, costume contests, tastings, panels, and more.
This festival is produced by Jennie and Marcus Whitaker. These fans have held this event annually for the past nine years. Since 2016 this has been held in six different cities in both the US and Canada.
Fans have come from all 50 states and some 23 countries to attend these events. The event has brought together old friends, new friends, and everyone in between. If you are a fan or a curious bystander, this is for you. Come, meet your Gilmore friends.
Announcements about cast and crew members that will be attending will begin in early March and will keep being announced as logistics are confirmed. The event schedule should be available by mid-summer.
“The event has traveled to several towns since 2016, but this is our first event on the coast of Connecticut and we’re thrilled about it,” said Jennie Whitaker, co-creator of The Fan Fest Society. “The area captures the essence of our event so well that Guilford felt familiar from the very first time I walked through the green. It was easy to picture attendees milling about town, drinking coffee, enjoying the scenery, and meeting up with new and old friends. We expect it to be exactly what attendees want, quintessential Connecticut with a weekend of fan fest activities.”
Marcus Whitaker, the other co-creator said, “The Fan Fest Society does not produce a typical ‘con’ in a convention center. Our events are smaller, more immersive, and infiltrate a welcoming town alongside a willing cast and crew. It’s something that every great show deserves, people behind it, willing to keep it alive.”
