‘InsideU’ Helps Children Understand Mental and Emotional Wellness. When Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out first came out in 2015 I believe a lot of people not only related to various aspects of the emotional characters but also noticed how amazing this would be to use those same characters to help others understand their own emotions.

Pixar has teamed up with The Crown Institute at the University of Colorado Boulder, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, and Liquid Interactive.

We of course had to enjoy the first 4 stories, and immediately fell in love with it. The interaction and back and forth aren’t just a Hey everything is great, the team thought that through, and sometimes you just want to answer “Meh..”.

At the end of the day, Disney is for young and old, and if Disney/Pixar characters can help us adults escape reality, or help us deal with emotions, or help us escape mental issues, then certainly children could use the same thing. I say this knowing how just watching a character come to life in a theme park can change a person, and also knowing how many adults escape many different emotions by visiting these theme parks.
