The movie is predictable but fun. I found myself engaged in the story the romance and truly the scenery. Fun fact, I have always wanted to visit Niagara Falls, so to see the beautiful backdrop and boating and fun that they had was exciting for me.

Madeline is super type A and very overly organized and structured. She has everything lined up and scheduled. Her fiance, Jason, has enough of it and calls off it off 5 weeks before the wedding. He tells her he needs adventure and spontaneity. Madeline spirals into depression and her big sister, Harley, comes to the rescue. She convinces Madeline to go on her already-paid-for honeymoon to Niagara Falls. Madeline wanted to recreate the magical trip her grandparents had there. Harley convinces her to go on a “sister moon” to reconnect with her adventurous side. Maddie agrees to go.

They arrive in Niagra and after hiccups checking in and the heart in roses on the bed, Maddie goes off to explore and has a bad run-in with Mike, who later turns out to be her tour guide. I won’t go into all the details but they bond and he gets her to have fun and do things that she never would have done, all while they fall for each other.

Enter Jason the former fiance flies in and reproposes and tries to win her back. She agrees and hurts Mike. As she’s getting ready to leave with him back to San Fransisco she realizes that she isn’t in love with him. She loves Mike. She rushes back to Mike at their friend’s wedding that her sister ended up being hired to be their photographer. It’s a nice subplot point.
