Disney Stars Out for US Premiere of ‘Doctor Who’ In Hollywood. The stars of the new season of ‘Doctor Who’ gathered together to celebrate the new episodes. Disney Branded Television hosted a star-studded event at the NeueHouse Hollywood in Los Angeles.

An introduction to the screening was made by Ayo Davis (president, of Disney Branded Television). Those in attendance were treated to an exclusive wibbly wobbly timey-wimey screening. The new season drops on Disney+ on May 10. After the screening there was a cosmically good time at the Doctor Who-themed after-party, where the stars showed out!

Series stars Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson, who play the Fifteenth Doctor and his companion Ruby Sunday were in attendance. Joining them was the creative team behind the show. Russell T Davies (showrunner, executive producer, and writer) and executive producers Jane Tranter, Julie Gardner, Phil Collinson, and Joel Collins.

Distinguished celebrities and guests included Alex Borstein (“Family Guy,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”), Kari Byron (“MythBusters”), Dan Povenmire (“Phineas and Ferb”), Rick and Becky Riordan (“Percy Jackson and the Olympians”), Dua Saleh (“Sex Education”) and many more.

‘Doctor Who’ is about The Doctor and his companion Ruby Sunday travel across time and space, with adventures all the way from the Regency era in England to war-torn future worlds. Throughout their adventures in the TARDIS — a time-traveling ship shaped like a police box — they encounter incredible friends and dangerous foes, including a terrifying bogeyman and the Doctor’s most powerful enemy yet.

On Friday, May 10, at 4:00 p.m. PDT / 7:00 p.m. EDT on Disney+ in the U.S. and around the world (excluding the U.K.), audiences can stream “The Church on Ruby Road,” which premiered last December, as well as two all-new episodes. In the U.K., “Doctor Who” begins streaming on May 11 at midnight on BBC iPlayer before airing on BBC One later that day, giving audiences a simultaneous global launch.

New episodes drop on Fridays on Disney+, where available, and on Saturdays on the BBC and BBC iPlayer in the U.K.
