Honest Review – A Merry Scottish Christmas On Hallmark Channel. The queen of Hallmark Christmas movies, Lacey Chabert, is starring in not one but two movies this Countdown to Christmas. I have not been disappointed by any Lacey Chabert Hallmark movies. She is the queen for a reason.

For this movie, Chabert is teaming up with her on-screen brother from her ‘Party of Five’ days, Scott Wolf. Chabert and Wolf are executive producers of this Hallmark Channel movie. They are once again playing siblings. This movie was charming and full of nods to their past show, such as the pub in the Scottish town being called Salingers.

While spending the holidays abroad at their mother’s childhood home in Scotland, a brother and sister from California discover their previously unknown family history.

Once-close siblings Dr. Lindsey Morgan (Chabert) and Brad Morgan (Wolf) have grown apart over the past few years, and it is with great reluctance that they agree to visit – for the first time ever – their mom’s girlhood home in Scotland for Christmas. Once there, they both fall in love with the idyllic Glencrave and its beautiful 15th-century castle, unique and bountiful Christmas traditions steeped in history, and warm and friendly townspeople.

However, the holiday visit becomes complicated for everyone when the Morgan siblings discover a colossal family secret that their mom has been keeping from them until now. As the siblings work hard to restrengthen their relationship, and Lindsey becomes smitten with Glencrave’s handsome estate manager (James Robinson, “Babylon”), they must each decide what is important to them to determine their own futures.

Keeping with the newer tradition of the last few years from Hallmark Christmas movies, there is a special cameo and scene with a beloved Hallmark actor. Will Kemp has a charming scene with Lacey where they dance and have an adorable interaction. I love these surprises that Hallmark throws us.
