New Stein Available in Epcot’s Germany Pavilion Feels Like Plastic. Disney Eats announced a new stein would be available at Sommerfest, Bierline, and the Pretzel Cart. So of course, we love Disney sippers and souvenirs, and had to head over to the Germany Pavilion and pick one up.

When we saw the prices, $20.00 to $22.00 depending on the drink, we knew instantly we were not getting an authentic stein. This did not surprise us, for that price, you cannot sell a beer stein that is traditionally made in Germany.

Most beer steins are made from German clay or glass. This one is made of plastic, and unfortunately, tasted like plastic. Which gave it a cheap feel. But, on a good note, the design is amazing looking. So not a total waste.

The design and details are beautiful the front has the phrases “Herzlich Willkommen” and “Germany”. The statue of St. George and the Dragon that can be found in the pavilion is at the center of the stein. In the background is the layout of the Germany pavilion. You can also spot a Mickey Head pretzel.
