Disney’s Boardwalk Construction Update Images – Cake Bake Shop Bakery and Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs. New blue paint, lightposts, windows, and walls. We could write a ton of words about how long the construction is taking at Disney’s Boardwalk, but we will hold back and just say “Open already!”
I cannot wait much longer to get my hands on a Pickle Corn Dog from Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs coming soon to the Boardwalk. This stand is the first time Blue Ribbon will open a hot dog stand at Disney World. The original home in Downtown Disney is Disneyland, where we first discovered the wonders of Pickle Corn Dogs!
Now, I am, just seeing how many times I can use the words Pickle Corn Dogs. I am sure I can fit it in at least 1 or 2 more times. Seriously though, it is a hollowed-out pickle, stuffed with a hot dog, then dipped in corn dog batter, and rolled in panko, with a side of peanut butter sauce. What doesn’t sound good about eating a Pickle Corn Dog? See, I told ya I could get 1 more in.

Anyway, the new Blue Ribbon Corn Dog stand is almost complete. New paint, lights, and a new ventilation system have been installed. The new Corn Dog stand is located right off the Friendship boat dock and is easy to get to. Furthermore, just because I can… Pickle Corn Dog!

Down the Boardwalk, heading towards the International Gate of Epcot is The Cake Bake Shop® Bakery by Gwendolyn Rogers. Originally set to open by the end of 2023. Even with it being delayed slightly, that is okay, the wait will be worth it.
We are seeing a lot of major construction updates at the new restaurant. The roof is almost finished, the top has been finished, and the windows have been installed. The entrance looks like it is almost complete, and signage could be going up anytime.
This was a major change to the whole building from the old ESPN Zone, with a total renovation of the building, inside and out. So, with how much has been done, I would imagine it should be open before summertime.
