Tiana Beignets and Bayou Update, New Ears and Munchling From the Magic Kingdom. In between the raindrops yesterday, was a fun day at the Magic Kingdom. Rain in the morning was not going to spoil our mission of eating Tiana’s Famous Beignets over at the Golden Outpost in Frontierland.

While we waited until Noon for the beignets to become available, we got to check in on the construction at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Opening sometime in 2024, it appears it may be sooner than the end of the year. Why do we think that? Water testing is already underway.

On Saturday evening a person posted on the WDWMagic forums an image of water running in the splash zone after the main drop. We can’t show the image without permission, but it was legit. We can show you some images we took yesterday.

We do know that there is going to be no change the the actual track layout that is leftover from Splash Mountain, so that means most of the internal and exterior changes are superficial or animatronic changes. So, realistically I think we will see a huge announcement in a few weeks with an opening date announced for June or July.

More theming has been added to the tiara-topped water tower, with vines now growing up towards the top. Furthermore, Mama Odie’s juju bottles are hanging off the top of the attraction.

The queue is coming together nicely, with more work leading to the actual entrance. We have previously discussed the stonework and metal work that was done leading to the bathrooms and now that same stonework is underneath the Frontierland Railroad and you can spy on the work over the stairs leading up.

We love being around the parks during the Cavalcades and seeing them from different areas. Each one has a different feel to it. Yesterday we got to watch Adventure Friends in front of Cinderella Castle and got some great images.

Dont forget that Parade times are shifting again in the middle of February. You can read more about that at This Link.

New Snow White Minnie headband ears are available at The Emporium for $34.99. Gold, Blue, and Red sequin ears, with a red bow inside a white bow.

There is a new Pixar’s Toy Story Chocolate Dipped Ice Cream Cone Wheezy available at Disney World. I think this may be the first Pixar large-sized Munchling.

Finally, the crowds were not too bad. It was a Disney Annual Passholder “Good to Go” Day at the Parks, so I figured it would be more crowded than it was. It seems like our off-season is shorter and shorter, and this year it may be that there is no off-season.

Lots of Cheerleaders were all around the Magic Kingdom, with my favorite quote of the day being “We’re at Disneyland in Florida!”
