Quiet Day at the Magic Kingdom March 20th, 2024 – Park Day Review. I know it is Spring Break, and it is supposed to be packed to the rafters down here at Disney World. Something is amiss though, we have not seen major crowds for the past few days.

Monday we were at Epcot and did not see the massive swell of crowds either, we know for a fact that the Virtual Queue for Tron, during the 1PM time was still available after 4:00 PM that day. Yesterday, we saw reports of the VQ for Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind were still available at 3:50PM. We were able to enjoy the day without being squeezed, and very light lines both days.

No one is complaining, that’s for sure. Just a weird anomaly. If I had to guess, it is the transition week between Spring Breakers. Anyway, I digress, we ended up having a fantastic day here at Magic Kingdom.

The Dapper Dan’s have a new springtime outfit on. They stopped for an action shot for us.

We saw a new light up wand for sale, it is a Mickey Balloon Head. Apparently, they do deflate for transportation.

Holly had never ridden on the Disney Transportation Omnibus before, so we caught the first one in the morning. Since crowds weren’t so bad, we made it down Main Street USA perfectly fine without many stops for guests.

I personally had not rode on the Omnibus since July of last year, when Jeff and Denise from Mouseteps.com and I rode it together. So it was only fitting that we met up with them again and rode it together. Check them out at the link above.

I love the views and the images from the top of the double decker bus.

Travel back in time during a breezy drive down Main Street, U.S.A. in a charming turn-of-the-century vehicle.

Next Stop: Memory Lane

Board a vintage horse-drawn trolley, omnibus, jitney or fire engine and enjoy the view as you are whisked from one end of Main Street, U.S.A. to the other. Wave as you drive down the street—and back in time!

Pick-Up Points

Catch a one-way ride from the stops in Town Square or the central plaza in front of Cinderella Castle

During parade times, vehicles are not available.

After exiting the Omnibus, our next stop was Liberty Square to ride Haunted Mansion. The wait time was listed at 25 minutes at 10:00 Am, so we couldn’t resist going through the whole queue.

Which I want to mention the Walt Disney Imagineering, and the Facilities Cast Members have kept everything working great in the queue. We hadn’t been though the whole line in a while and it was nice to touch the musical instruments and hear them play, or push the books back in place.

Tiana’s Bayou construction is moving super fast, with testing of the vehicles going down the main drop. Furthermore, the queue is taking shape with new trees being planted and the walkways almost finished.

This leaves the store front. The old Briar Patch closed a few years ago, but the outside theming has stayed since the closure. Now, the store is boarded up, and the window displays have been removed. We also heard construction going on inside.

Will we see an announcement about what stores are going to replace the old Briar Patch like they just announced for Disneyland version of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure?

Above is Sunshine Tree Terrace at Noon! Empty, no one in line. The weather was getting warmer too, so that wasn’t the cause. It was just a light crowd day.

So we finished out morning trip with getting a front row view from Town Square to watch the Festival of Fantasy Parade.
